Scarborough DAG Community Volunteer Event

Scarborough Disability Action Group (DAG) this year is celebrating its 35th birthday and is also celebrating National Volunteer’s week with a community Volunteers Fair, an event dedicated to connecting individuals with meaningful volunteer opportunities in the community.

 

The Volunteers Fair will feature community organizations, nonprofits, and aspiring volunteers to come together under one roof, attendees will have the chance to explore various volunteer roles and connect with organizations.

 

The Volunteers Fair is free and open to all members of the community.

 

Ian Whitfield DAG chair said: “One of the most rewarding things in life can be giving your time to make a positive difference to others in your community, Please do come down to the fair and see what opportunities there may be for you to help. It is Scarborough DAG’s 35th birthday and also National Volunteer Week so we decided to celebrate with a volunteer day, also a very big thank you to sponsors Let it Brie, The Harbour Bar and Boyes for making the event happen”

 

 

The event  takes place at Wreyfield Drive Methodist Church Barrowcliff  on Friday 7th June from 12pm -3pm with the Stephen Joseph Theatre Community Engagement Department holding workshops and also a special performance from Creative Day Care Scarborough
